New Team Member – Lerato Dibokwane
We are happy to have Lerato Dibokwane (left) join our flow chemistry team where she will be complementing our medicinal chemistry team by looking at the development of flow-based methodologies for the synthesis of neuroprotective drugs.
New Paper – Mild and selective reduction of aldehydes utilising sodium dithionite under flow conditions
Read our latest paper here which details the selective reduction of aldehydes in the presence of ketones under flow conditions. Well done to Nicole Neyt who was the lead chemist on this article.
Honours student presentations
Our team was represented by Thomas Bates at our first honours level presentation on the 21st of July. Thomas gave a great talk on his efforts the synthesize novel anti-Alzheimer’s agents based upon the skeleton of know cholinesterase inhibitor Donepezil. Congratulations to Thomas.
