Reaction Chemistry and Engineering’s Emerging Investigators 2019 Special Issue

We are proud to have been asked to contribute two publications to the RSC’s Reaction Chemistry and Engineering’s Emerging Investigators 2019 special issue where we have reported on the use of immobilized tetrakis(triphenylphosphine)palladium(0) for Suzuki–Miyaura coupling reactions under flow conditions and have reviewed the landscape and opportunities for active pharmaceutical ingredient manufacturing in developing African economies. You can find our articles together with many other excellent pieces of work from up and coming researchers in the themed collection here.

A big congratulations to Valerie Ramaotsoa and Ian Strydom for their work on the immobilization and use of tetrakis in Suzuki-Miyara reactions (Reaction Chemistry and Engineering 2019, 4, 372-382) and to our colleges at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) Jenny-Lee Panayides and Rachel Chikwamba for including myself and my team in their review that tooks at how flow chemistry and biocatalysis could lead to manufacturing opportunitites in emerging African economies (D.L. Riley, I. Strydom, R. Chikwamba and J.-L. Panayides, Reaction Chemistry and Engineering 2019, 4, 457-489).
